NONNA'S WORLD: RENODELED MY HOUSE

I added anew metal roof and siding to my house. We built our house in 1979 and have only painted the exterior and added new roofs when needed. I think it looks pretty good.

WELCOME TO NONNA'S WORLD

For 39 years I was know as Jo Ann, Big Boss or Mrs. Walters but in 1990 I became "Nonna". Now almost anywhere I go I hear, "Hey, Nonna!" You see my granddaughter refused to call me Momma Jo. She insisted upon "Nonna". So that has become my name to many.

Beside my family, my friends, and my religion I guess my greatest claim to fame has been having a school named after me. One year before I retired my teachers, the administration and the schoolboard decided to name the elementary school in my honor. It is Jo Ann Walters Elementary School. Wow! What an honor that was.

So here I am in the winter of my life. I want to be prepared for whatever comes and pray that my life will have some meaning to those that follow. For my remaining days I don’t plan on counting days but making the days count. I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. I now look to the future because that’s where I’m planning to spend the rest of my life.
