SHEYANNE AND DANIEL'S WEDDING-4-5-2014

My oldest granddaughter, Sheyanne Brett and Daniel Barton, were married in a vintage western wedding on April 5, 2014. Since she was a cowgirl and he was a team roper it seemed that something more formal would not suit their taste.
When she went searching for a dress I knew then that it was going to be just a tad different. While looking for a dress her mom found a pretty dress on the sale rack. Sheyanne looked at it and knew instantly that that was the one. The dress was marked at $320 and was on sale for $27 so that fit just fine. With the $300 I had given her she was able to buy her dress, all of the bridesmaid dresses and some of her flowers.

She took the dress to Carol, a seamstress in town, and told her to cut the top off and put a band on the skirt. She then found a denim blouse, a friend made her a belt and she was fixed up for the dress she wanted. I was almost in shock but old ladies learn to sit back and let these young ones do their thing. On her wedding day with her hair all curled she looked beautiful. She looked the way she had planned it so I guess that is the way a wedding should be. After all, mine was the way I wanted it which was just a ceremony in a dress my mother had made.

Madasan was the maid of honor and when she came down the isle she was already bawling. (She is very tender hearted and cries at the drop of a hat.) Well, when we saw her crying most of the crown teared up. After the six bridesmaids came in the atmosphere was broken with Ayden Howard pulling Kase Daniel, in his John Deer Wagon, to "I Think My Tractor is Sexy". It was pretty cute and Ayden pulled the wagon down by the bride and groom. I just knew the nine month old Kase was not going to sit there fore the duration of the ceremony but HE DID.  He did his patty cake, smiled, played with a bubble bottle and did just great. I am afraid he might have stolen some of the bride and grooms show because he was so dad gum cute.

Scott Feemster, Sheyanne's basketball coach, performed the ceremony. Back while she was playing basketball she told him that when she got married she wanted him to perform the ceremony. He agreed! She loved Coach Feemster and since he was a preacher she wanted him for the job.

My cousin, Greg Westfall and his wife Lorie, acted as host to the wedding. Their beautiful home was just what a "cowgirl"  needed to satisfy her dream of  a cowgirl wedding.

(I will change these picture to better ones when the photographer gets her pictures back to us. She is pretty slow so it may be at the first anniversary.)
